Yes, it has now been two years since I paid off my last consumer debt.
This last year Amy & I taught 3 Financial Peace University classes, and mostly just kept plugging along. My net worth went backwards this last 12 months, down $22,885, but that was just the stock market. We are set to pay off our house in less than 15 years, and we have more savings each month.

I can’t wait to be in the same boat. I just got done reading The Total Money Makeover and I can’t wait to be out of debt. I am in the process of refinancing my mortgage to 15 years, I have my 1k baby emergency fund setup and I am almost done with all my consumer debt. Once the car is paid off I will be socking away all my extra income on my house. I setup a blog at http://www.payingoffmyhouse.com to help me towards my goal. I know if I have something where I am writing about my process it will keep me motivated. I can’t wait until I am able to send in my last mortgage payment.
We are working toward debt freedom too. I estimate we are about three years away. But there often are those unforseen circumstances that get in our way.
